Tinashe Nyumudoka was born in Zimbabwe and worked his way up in restaurants upon moving to South Africa. He eventually became a sommelier, which led him to establish Kumusha in 2017.
'Kumusha' roughly translates to 'your roots' in ZImbabwean dialect Shona, and that's the philosophy that somm-turned-winemaker Tinashe Nyamudoka in his winemaking. Each bottle represents the roots from which it comes. Certified Sustainable and Vegan. 100% Cinsault. Sourced from a vineyard on sandstone and clay soils (Weathered shale on clay) at 300-400 meters. A couple hours of skin contact in the press and the juice underwent extended cold settling and cold fermentation. After fermentation, the wine spent 2.5 months on the lees before bottling.
